I had an eviction case against me and I met with Luke. He spent a good hour with me as I explained my rent was all paid and that this was strictly retaliation against me for having a slum lord fined by the City. He explained how to handle this on my own because he knew how expensive this could be for me and wasn't necessary. He gave me stellar advice and I even offered to pay him. Mr. Carlson was very helpful in his complimentary free telephone consultation. He had read the description of my situation online, asked a few questions, and then told me that a collections lawyer would be better for my case than a real estate lawyer. He gave me the number of the L.A. bar association so that I could receive a referral, but the person who answered the phone was combative and unhelpful. When I called the Kushner Carlson office back to warn them not to give anyone else that number, Mr. Carlson returned my call and spent several more minutes talking to me, soothing my frazzled nerves, listening to the specifics of my case, and recommending approaches. Although I live too far from his office to use Mr. Carlson's services, I appreciated his free assistance on the telephone and would recommend him to anyone, but especially to high-strung, elderly black women who prefer to be treated with respect and compassion.

Firstly, I should say that they never really did any work for me or my company. I was, however very impressed by the free phone consultation during which Mr. Carlson was very candid with me. He asked me some questions about my company told me that, while his firm could help me with the kind of documents and contracts that my new business needs, that I would be better served to find a solo business practitioner that would charge a flat rate rather than his full hourly rate that he would need to charge. Thanks for not selling me more than I need and giving me excellent guidance.

I talked on the phone with Luke Carlson about a month and a half ago for 15 minutes. He answered the questions I had about an issue I have with the HOA. I schedule an appointment with him a month later to see what legal action I can take. They had a great hospitality since I got there. Luke at Kushner Carlson saved me from a heart attack today! Luke is an absolute Godsend. My kids are looking at an eviction being on their record because the landlord is using retaliatory and harassing conduct.
